Linda Jean (Warner) Martin, age 74, of Dixon, was born in Vernon, Texas a daughter of Lawrence Leslie and Thelma Ethel (Crane) Hardwick and departed this life at 2:10 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at her residence.

Linda was united in marriage on April 19, 1991 at St. Robert to Harry Davis Martin. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2019. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Thelma Hardwick; three children, Dalenna Jean Warner, David Gene Warner on November 24, 1995 and Cody Lee Warner on September 24, 1992; an infant sister, Lila May Hardwick on December 2, 1957 and two brothers, Lawrence William "Bill" Hardwick in 1978 and Lonnie Hardwick in 2022.

Linda had worked as a registered nurse in the pediatric unit at Fort Leonard Wood until her retirement. She enjoyed writing creative stories, cooking, and animals, but most of all she enjoyed her family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Linda include: her sons, Ken Warner and his wife, Kristal, of the state of Texas; Josh Warner, of Dixon and Todd Martin of St. Robert; her brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Karen Hardwick, Dixon; four grandchildren, Jalynn, Jesse, Joey and Justin and many other relatives and friends.

Linda's family will host a celebration of life with the date and time to be announced.
