Linda Katherine Squires, of Crocker, was born on June 28, 1937, at Crocker, a daughter of Luther Edward and Ethel Ruby (Campbell) Overby and departed this life at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at her residence. Linda had attained the age of 82 years, 3 months and 10 days.

Linda was united in marriage on October 22, 1955 at Richland to Gary W. Squires and to this union, three children were born. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.

Linda was a member of the Christ's Mission Church, St. Robert as well as teaching Sunday School and working with the youth. In her early years she had worked as a telephone operator in Crocker and was a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker. She loved going to church and singing specials, telling stories, working in her flower garden, collecting antiques and decorating her home.

Those left to mourn the passing of Linda include: her husband, Gary W. Squires, Sr., Crocker; her children, Jean Ann and Charlie Worstell, Crocker; Joni and Randy Craig, state of Florida and Gary W., Jr. and Dana Squires, Vienna; eight grandchildren, Matt (April) Worstell, Jordan (Erica) Martin, Tyler Martin, Micah Worstell, Megan Martin, Katie (Jonathan) Haggard, Nate Squires and Noah Squires; four great-grandchildren; six half brothers and sisters; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held for Linda at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2019 in the Crocker Christian Church with Bob Leinbaugh, Charlie Worstell, Rick Smith and Larry Richardson officiating.

Interment will be in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Linda are Matt Worstell, Jordan Martin, Tyler Martin, Micah Worstell, Megan Martin, Katie Haggard, Nate Squires and Noah Squires.
