Lisa Carol Weed, 59, of Dixon, was born on November 5, 1961, at Waynesville, a daughter of Carl Eugene and Ruth Darlene (Baker) Watson and departed this life at 8:12 a.m., Thursday morning, August 26, 2021 at her sister's residence.
Lisa was first united in marriage to Kenny Wilson and to this union, two daughters were born, Teri and Kristie. On April 6, 1999 in Maries County, she was united in marriage to Charles A. Weed and to this union, two children were born, Travin and Taylor. Lisa was preceded in death by her father on February 17, 1990; her mother on February 11, 1985; her daughter, Kristie Wilson on April 21, 1983; two brothers, Robert Eugene Watson in 1980 and Wilson Duane Watson in 1998.
Lisa had worked for Brown Shoe Company, Dixon until it closed and then she worked for Quaker Window Products, Freeburg for 11 years and later for Casey's in Dixon for 10 plus years. She enjoyed crocheting, playing and coaching softball, baking, attending all her grandchildren's sporting events, camping, fishing, collecting raccoons and her little yorkie, Sassy.
Those left to mourn the passing of Lisa include: her husband, Charlie Weed, Dixon; her children, Teri Crane and her husband, Jeff; Travin Weed and Taylor Weed and her companion, Nathan Cox, all of Dixon; her siblings, Michael and Dee Watson; Sandy and Sam Sherrell; Paul and Beverly Watson and Paula Foster, all of Dixon; her five grandchildren, Brooke Bench, Alura Bench, Krisa Crane, Klaire Crane and Ryker Cox; her great-grandson, Onyx Bench, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held for Lisa from 4 p.m. until service time at 6 p.m., all on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Pastor Bev Sharp, Kenner Church of God and Pastor Shannon Perry, Santee Community Church, officiating.
Interment will be in the Seaton Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made per the wishes of the family in Memory of Lisa Carol Weed with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
