Lorraine Armstrong, of Dixon, was born on November 7, 1959, at Iberia, a daughter of Jesse Windorf and Imogene (Brewer) Lawson, and departed this life at 6:03 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2014, at her residence near Dixon, at the age of 54 years, 3 months and 14 days.

Lorraine was united in marriage on June 10, 1982, at Stoutsville, to David Clayton Armstrong. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jesse Lawson and one sister, Doris Lawson.

Lorraine enjoyed nature, sewing, making candles and fishing. She was a devoted housewife and homemaker, always diligent in providing for the needs of her family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Lorraine include: her husband, David Armstrong, Dixon; one son, Allen Ash, Iberia; one daughter, Melissa Ash, Crocker; two step-daughters, Amanda Armstrong, Kansas City and April Lewis, Springfield; one brother, Dennis Lawson; one step-brother, Billy Littleton, St. Anthony; two sisters, Barbara Wright and Dena Franks, both of Dixon; seven grandchildren, Tarra, Evan, Kayle, Anthony, Jordan, Emily, and Ora; a special nephew, Dustin Templeton, Dixon; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted for Lorraine at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon, with Bro. Jimmy Moore, Crocker, officiating.

Interment was in the Jim Matt Lawson Cemetery near Dixon, under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
Pallbearers for Lorraine were David Armstrong, Allen Ash, Dustin Templeton, Evan Rowden, Clayton Armstrong, Ronnie Lawson, Anthony Blair and Ora Ash.
