Obituary

Mary Louise "Ege" Hammack, age 90, of Crocker, was born on July 26, 1935, at Crocker, a daughter of Oral and Mable (Walters) Layman, and passed from this life on Monday, September 8, 2025, at her residence in Crocker.

She was united in marriage on May 3, 1960, at Union City, Tennessee, to Charles Darwin Hammack, and to this union two daughters were born.

Louise was baptized at the Crocker Christian Church on July 3, 1972. She was a 1952 Graduate of Crocker High School and had been employed as a bookkeeper for AFFES, Fort Leonard Wood, Oakwood Texaco, St. Robert; and H & L Grocery Store, Crocker.  Louise enjoyed bowling, watching her grandchildren's sporting events, was a St. Louis Cardinal's fan, working in her yard, and cooking Sunday dinner for her family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Louise include: her daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Rick Ringer, Crocker, and Dana and Mark Havens, Rolla; two grandchildren, Holli Ringer, and Erica and Trent Harrison all of Crocker; three great grandchildren, Ely Harrison and Fiancé Bailey Brookshire, Laney Harrison, and Carter Harrison all of Crocker; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles on September 29, 1985; her father, Oral on May 30, 1995; her, Mother, Mable on January 20, 1993; great grandson, David Gavin Williams; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Betty Layman; and sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Cecil Penland.

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. in the Crocker Chapel of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral, 416 North Main Street, Crocker, Missouri 65452 with a graveside funeral service at 1:00 p.m., on Friday 12, 2025, in the Crocker Cemetery, with Pastor Doug Jacobson officiating

Interment will be in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Loving Paws Adoption Center, Crocker with envelopes available, the day of the service or c/o Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home P.O. Box 700, Crocker, MO  65452.
