Obituary

Lucille "Lucy" Esther Rosario, age 81, of St. James, formerly of Dixon, was born April 29, 1943, at Columbus, Wisconsin, a daughter of Carl and Lenora Dragert, Sr. and departed this life on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in Phelps Health Hospital, Rolla.

Lucy was united in marriage on January 12, 1964, at Fort Lewis, Washington, to Miguel Angel Rosario, and to this union four children were born.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Hope Ann Rosario on July 18, 1990; her great-grandson, Gavin Sharp on April 7, 2021; her father, Carl; her mother, Lenora; and her brother Carl Dragert, Jr.

Lucy was baptized while attending First Baptist Church, Waynesville.  She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Dixon, for many years, and at the time of her passing was a member of First Baptist Church, St. James. Lucy was a care giver for many children through the years, enjoyed writing, and had many pen-pals.  She was a devoted housewife and homemaker and was always diligent in providing for the needs of her family and others.

Those left to mourn the passing of Lucy include: her husband of 61 years, Miguel "Mike" Rosario, St. James; three sons, Miguel Rosario, Jr., state of Missouri, Robert (Heidi) Rosario, Grayslake, Illinois, and John (Kathy) Rosario, St. Louis; six grandchildren, Shaynoah, Micaela, Baylee, Autumn, Xzavier, and Connor; three great-grandchildren, Josalin, Harper, and Alexandria; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of her service at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2025,  with Pastor Stephen Brubaker, First Baptist Church, St. James, officiating all in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home at 205 West Third Street, Dixon, MO  65459.

Interment will be in the Dixon Cemetery next to her daughter, under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.

Memorial contributions are suggested in memory of Mrs. Lucille Rosario per the wishes of the family, with envelopes available at the funeral home the day of her service or c/o Martin Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, P.O. Box GG Dixon, MO  65459
