Mark Anthony Gardner, of Crocker, was born on March 28, 1950 at St. Louis, a son of Billy Ross and Pauline Yvonne (Baker) Gardner and departed this life at 8:10 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2019 in Crocker. Mr. Gardner had attained the age of 69 years, 4 months and 17 days.

Mr. Gardner was united in marriage on March 17, 2001, at Crocker, to Bonnie Flo Robertson. He was preceded in death by one son, Terry French; his parents and five sisters, Mary Ann Gardner, Joyce Gardner, Yvonne Gardner, Phyllis Dube and Kathy Miller.

Mr. Gardner was baptized and at the time of his passing was attending Curry Church, Iberia. He was a hardworking man had worked as a roofer for over 55 years. Mr. Gardner enjoyed fishing and working on small engines; he was a prankster and loved to tease his family and friends.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Gardner include: his wife, Bonnie Gardner, Crocker; his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Bree French, Crocker; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Linda Gardner, Eldon; Rima Gardner, Washington and Billye and Mitchell Pendleton, Iberia; six grandchildren, Kimberly, Holly, Alexis, Brooke, Lettie and Saylor; two nieces, Samantha Crane and Jessica Liebrum; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held for Mr. Gardner at 12:00 noon, Saturday, August 17, 2019 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker with Rev. James Poe, Curry Church, Iberia officiating

Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery near Crocker under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Honorary pallbearers for Mr. Gardner are Mitchell Pendleton, Fred Helms, Joe Durreman, Daniel French, Hershel McDowell and Jimmy Price.
