Etta Marlene Zeigenbein, of Campbellsburg, Indiana, formerly of Crocker, was born on September 5, 1941, at Evening Shade, a daughter of Albert Dean and Violet Ora (Lee) Cowan, and departed this life at a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2014, at her residence in Campbellsburg. Mrs. Zeigenbein had attained the age of 73 years and 1 day.
Mrs. Zeigenbein was united in marriage on August 23, 1958, at Crocker, to James Hugh Zeigenbein. She was preceded in death by her father; one daughter-in-law, Sherry Zeigenbein; two sisters, Verna Cowan and Virginia Medlen; and one brother-in-law, Bill Medlen.
Mrs. Zeigenbein attended the First Baptist Church of Campbellsburg, Indiana and was a Certified Nurse's Assistant with the old Washington County Hospital and Meadowview Nursing Home and was a home health nurse with Hoosier Uplands. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Zeigenbein include: her husband, Jim Zeigenbein, of the home in Campbellsburg, Indiana; her mother, Violet Cowan, Richland; five sons and one daughter-in-law, James "JD" Zeigenbein, Odessa, Texas; Darrel Zeigenbein and Charles Zeigenbein, both of Campbellsburg, Indiana; Timothy and Lori Zeigenbein, Erie, Kansas; and Jason Huckleberry, Salem, Indiana; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held for Mrs. Zeigenbein from 5 – 7 P.M., Tuesday, September 9, 2014, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker.
Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Zeigenbein at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 10, 2014, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker, with Jimmy Moore officiating.
Interment will be in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Crocker.
