Obituary

Marvin Rose, age 84 of Dixon, was born on April 14, 1940, in Pulaski County, Missouri a son of Milam and Margaret Ellen "Maggie" (Miller) Rose and departed this life on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 in the University Hospital and Clinics, Columbia.

Marvin was united in marriage on June 30, 1973 in the Gasconade Baptist Church near Dixon, to Miss Loretta Faye (Woods) Humphrey. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Drew Rose, Pearl Rose, Everald Rose and John Rose and his sisters, Gladys Page, Della Rose, Ruth Rose, Wanda Adkins, Dorothy Williams and Helen Berquist.

Marvin was baptized by Bro. Bill Claiborn on January 17, 2010 and was a member of the Hilltop Christian Union Church, Crocker. He had been employed by the Waynesville School District as a janitor, retiring on July 1, 1995, as well as being a farmer. Marvin loved to fish and hunt and just being in the great outdoors.

Those left to mourn the passing of Marvin include: his wife of 52 years, Loretta Rose of the home near Dixon; his daughters, Teresa (Jay) Ramboldt and Sherry (Danny) Adamson;  his boy, Jimmy (Linda) Humphrey; his sister, Wilma Keeth; five grandchildren, Jill, Ashley, Joey, Jayson (JJ) and Jamison; six great-grandchildren, his special great-grandson, Wyatt, Emma, Ella, Jeno, Evren and Celeste; numerous nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Marvin from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 12:00 noon all on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon, with Pastor Leo Gladden, Hickory Hills Baptist Church, St. Robert and Pastor Jack Caple officiating.

Interment will be in the Gasconade Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 205 West Third Street, Dixon, MO.

Memorials are suggested by the family in honor of great-grandson Wyatt, to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home on the day of Marvin's funeral or in c/o Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home, P.O. Box GG, Dixon, MO  65459.
