Mary Ann Jacobson, of Swedeborg, was born on January 10, 1933, at Swedeborg, a daughter of Clair William and Anna Mae (Peterson) Manes and departed this life at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday morning, November 20, 2018, in the Shepherd of the Hills Living Center, Branson. Mrs. Jacobson had been in failing health and had attained the age of 85 years, 10 months and 10 days.

Mrs. Jacobson was united in marriage July 23, 1951, in San Diego, California to Evar Lowell "Jake" Jacobson and to this union, they were blessed with three children. She was preceded in death by her husband on October 11, 2014; her parents and two brothers, Robert Manes and William E. Manes.

Mrs. Jacobson accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and followed her Lord in baptism early in life, and was a faithful member of the Swedeborg Baptist Church. She had worked as a clerk at Sears in Richland as well as being a devoted and loving housewife and homemaker. She loved working on the farm, taking care of her family and friends and following the St. Louis Cardinals.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Jacobson include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Lynn Jacobson, Swedeborg and Scott and Becky Jacobson, Branson; one daughter and son-in-law, Roxane and Jerry Thornsberry, Crocker; three grandchildren, Amanda (Jake) Starnes; Alaina (Dane) Blackwood and Marlee (Corey) Smith; one great-grandchild, Kellie Starnes; two sisters, Laverne Carroll and Patsy Wilkes, both of Crocker and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Jacobson at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 23, 2018, in the Swedeborg Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Tallant, Pastor of the Swedeborg Baptist Church officiating.

Interment in the St. John's Swede Cemetery, Swedeborg under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mrs. Jacobson are Tom Murray, Jake Starnes, Charlie Davis, Merrel Breyer, Chris Black and Greg Black. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Allen, Tom Manes, Jeff Manes, Bill Manes, Rob Manes, Mike Manes, Tim Manes, Brett Kinsley, Jeff Kinsley, Rick Zweerink, Randy Carroll, Greg Carroll, Dr. Max Thornsberry, Ron Manes, Kirby Wilkes and Dan Wilkes.

Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the St. John's Swede Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund or the Crocker Senior Center
