Obituary

Mary Sue Robertson, of St. Louis, was born on September 5, 1943, at St. Louis, a daughter of Albert and Edna (Edwards) Talley, and departed this life at 11:35 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2015, in the Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis. Mrs. Robertson had attained the age of 71 years, 8 months and 13 days.

Mrs. Robertson was united in marriage on August 8, 1959, in Illinois, to Austin Delane Robertson, and to this union, five children were born. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Ann Robertson on August 24, 1962; her father, Albert and her mother, Edna; one brother, Billy Dale Glass and one sister, Goldie Glass.

Mrs. Robertson was a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker and was always diligent in providing for the needs of her family. She enjoyed fishing, camping and playing bingo.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Robertson include: her husband, Austin Robertson, Sr., St. Louis; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Robertson, Meza, Arizona and Austin, Jr. and Christine Robertson, St. Louis; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Michael Rapelje, St. Louis and Lisa and Tony Martin, Festus; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Robertson at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 23, 2015, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with the Rev. Fred Pringle, former pastor of the Oakdale Baptist Church, Oakdale, Illinois, officiating.

Interment was in the Kenner Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mrs. Robertson were her grandsons, Eric Martin, Austin Robertson, Tony Martin, Jr., Michael Rapelje, Tyler Stout and Brandon Robertson. Honorary pallbearers were C.J. Hartley and Dennis Hartley.

Memorial contributions are suggested by Mrs. Robertson's family to the Kenner Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home, Dixon.
