Obituary

Ina Maxine Cross, of Dixon, was born on March 30, 1929, at Hancock, a daughter of Thomas Franklin and Mima Isabel (Davis) Goodman and departed this life at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2018, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon. Mrs. Cross had attained the age of 89 years, 5 months, and 26 days.

Mrs. Cross was united in marriage at Dixon, on May 14, 1947, to William Sherman "Bill" Cross, Jr. and to this union, one son was born. She was preceded in death by her husband on November 12, 2012; her parents and three sisters, Juanita Simpson, June Withers and infant Virginia Fay Goodman.

Mrs. Cross was baptized early in life and was a long time member of the Hancock Christian Church. She was co-owner and operator of Cross Oil Company, Cross Travel Liner and Bill Cross Enterprises as well as being a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker. She kept the books for the Seaton Cemetery for many years, enjoyed working in her yard and trying new recipes.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Cross include: her son, Tom Cross, Dixon; two grandchildren, Tracey Bechtel, Jefferson City and Tim Cross and his wife, Sandra, Dixon; five great-grandchildren, Brianne, Jacob, Brendan, Mackenzie and Zayn; and many other relatives and friends.
