Melody Kay Tucker, of Dixon, was born on August 3, 1963, at St. Louis a daughter of Robert Lee Tucker and Joann "Jodi" Woodard Cooper and departed this life at 1:53 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2018 at her residence. Melody had attained the age of 54 years, 11 months, and 6 days.
Early in life, Melody had worked as a Certified Nurses Aid and later for a dry cleaners while living in Kansas, before returning to Dixon. She enjoyed doing crafts, collecting porcelain dolls and doing ceramics.
Those left to cherish the memory of Melody include: her children, Derek Parker, Dixon; CW2 Joshua Mott, Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and Hannah Mott, Watertown, New York; her parents, Warren and Jodi Cooper, Dixon; one sister, Kim Keyes, Fulton; two grandchildren, Elaina Parker and Bastian Mott; numerous nephews and nieces, special cousin, Glen Cory, and many other relatives and friends.
Melody was preceded in death by one son, Andrew Mott; her father, Robert "Bobby" Tucker; and two brothers, Mitch Tucker and Mark Cooper.
Funeral services were held for Melody at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 16, 2018 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Pastor Helen Winters, Seaton Faith Fellowship Church, Dixon officiating.
Honorary pallbearers for Melody were Derek Parker, CW2 Joshua Mott, Hannah Marie Mott, Austin Marlatt and Glen Cory.
Cremation was elected by the family following the funeral service under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
