Obituary

Michael Dale "Mike" Aaron, of Dixon, was born on April 11, 1959, at Waynesville, a son of Johnny Steven and Hazel Almeda (Kell) Aaron and departed this life at 10:50 a.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at his residence. Mike had been in failing health for the past few months and had attained the age of 60 years, 3 months and 20 days.

Mike was a 1977 graduate of Dixon High School; had worked at ABB in Jefferson City and was a member of the Arlington Lodge Number 346 A.F. & A.M., Dixon. He enjoyed old cars and reading and had written a few short stories. Mike was a supporter of the NRA and was a fan of all Missouri Sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mike include: his brother, John S. Aaron and his companion, Jodie of Rolla; his sister, April Dawson and her husband, Matt of Hollister; his God daughter, Jacki Wieberg; nephews and nieces, Danielle, Aaron, Justin, Jessica, Jennifer, Johnny, Myrinda, Tristan, Maudie, John and Alex; numerous great-nephews and great-nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Johnny on January 18, 2016; his mother, Hazel Almeda on November 22, 2006 and two sisters, an infant and Deborah Nelson on March 20, 2005.

Funeral services will be held for Mike at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2019 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Pastor Jerry Dooley, Word of Life Fellowship Church, Dixon officiating.

Interment in the Pisgah Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mike were Aaron Jones, Justin Jones, Myrinda Norlin, Michael Norlin, Tony Bryant and Westley Bryant.  Honorary pallbearers were Tristan Dawson, Cameron Bryant, Matt Dawson, Travis Bryant, Scott Null and Johnny Aaron.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Marine Corp Heritage Foundation with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
