Michele "Shelley"
Switzer
Dec 16, 1969 — Jul 3, 2025
Michele "Shelley" Lynn Switzer, age 55, of Dixon, was born on December 16, 1969, at Waynesville, a daughter of Lawrence Harold and Carolyn Jane (Shelden) Switzer and passed from this life on Thursday morning, July 3, 2025, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
Shelley was a 1988 graduate of the Dixon R1 School System and later graduated as a dental assistant from the Nichols Career Center, Jefferson City. She had worked for Gasconade Hills Dental Clinic and Rolla Technical Institute for the Dental Hygienist program.
She was a proud farmer's daughter, and took interest in genealogy on both sides of her family. She enjoyed playing golf; both on a course and the driving range. She loved to bake, especially decorating cookies and cakes, the more icing and sprinkles the better! She also enjoyed scrapbooking, flower gardening, and spray-painting her haybales for the seasons.
She dearly loved her dogs; Tina and Fox, and shared the last bite of every meal with them. Shelley was a proud mother and grandmother, and needed no excuse to shop for the grandbabies. She always believed in the best of people, and was always willing to help others in any way possible. She lived by the phrase, "If you can't be yourself, who can you be?"
Those left to mourn the passing of Shelley include: her daughter, Chelsea Lane and husband, Todd, Richland; her sons, Dylan Donati and wife, Jocelyn, and Tucker Brown, all of Dixon; grandchildren, Asher, Brycen, Trey, and Raelyn; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold on August 3, 2024; her mother, Carolyn on October 29, 2013; and two infant sisters, Pamela Jane Switzer on September 3, 1968, and Switzer infant in 1975.
