Darrell Ray Moore

Darrell Ray Moore, age 83, of Crocker, was born on July 13, 1941, at Upland, California, a son of Randall Wright and Avis Beatrice (Wyatt) Moore and passed from this life on Thursday, July 3, 2025 in the Arrowhead Senior Living, Osage Beach.
Mr. Moore was united in marriage in 1960 at Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Miss Gloria Kay Beasley and to this union, five sons were born. He was preceded by his father and mother, one brother, James Randall Moore and one sister, Joan Pickett.
In 1958, Mr. Moore, entered active federal service in the Army of the United States and served until April 30, 1981, when he was honorably discharged at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri at the rank of Master Sergeant. During his military career, Mr. Moore was awarded and entitled to wear the ARCOM, VSM with one silver service star, VSM with two bronze service stars, Good Conduct Medal (7), and two Purple Hearts. A man of excellent character, Mr. Moore's "Honorable Discharge" is a testimonial of honest and faithful service to our country during his military career.
Following his military career, Mr. Moore worked in civil service as a supervisor instructor in the diesel mechanic department.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Moore include: his wife of 65 years, Gloria Moore, of the home; five sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Ashley Moore, Tuscumbia, Alabama; Mark and Tammy Moore, Barnett; Steven and Tammy Moore, Crocker; Terry and Aimee Moore, Iberia and Randall and Crystal Moore, Crocker; one brother, Larry Joe Moore, Ft. Worth, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of his service at 12:30 p.m. all on Monday, July 21, 2025 in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel at 416 N. Commercial, Crocker, MO 65452.
Interment will follow his service at 2:00 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 25350 Highway H, Waynesville, MO 65583 under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family in Memory of MSG (RET) Darrell Ray Moore to the local Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 49, with envelopes available at the funeral home the day of his service or in C/O the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home, P.O. Box 700, Crocker, MO 65452.
