Myrtle Lorene Boulware, of Dixon, was born on January 9, 1926, at Ulman, a daughter of Milton and Hattie (Wilson) Jenkins, and went to be with her Lord and Savior at 12:57 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2014, at her residence. Mrs. Boulware had attained the age of 88 years, 8 months, and 12 days.
Mrs. Boulware was united in marriage on May 4, 1942, to William Everett Boulware and to this union, four children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on January 8, 1984; her father on January 22, 1987; her mother on March 28, 1950; two brothers, John Jenkins and Leslie Jenkins; and two sisters, Gertie Allen and Imogene Langley.
Mrs. Boulware was a member of the Burnett Fundamental Christian Church, Dixon and later attended the Bible Holiness Church, Dixon. She was a teacher's Aide for the Dixon RI School District as well as being a loving and devoted housewife, homemaker, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. Mrs. Boulware was a true Christian and taught her family by the way she lived her life, always striving to live for Jesus, and using the motto "Never say or do anything that the Lord will make you apologize for later". She faithfully read her Bible and attended church as long as her health allowed.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Boulware include: one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Joanna Boulware, Dixon; three daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Howard Clark, Ulman; Joyce Boulware and Joe Aloi, Bonita Springs, Florida and Helen and Elmer Bassett, Dixon; one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Mary Jenkins, Boonville; one sister, Eula Cole, Wewela, South Dakota; four sisters-in-law, Ruth Pierce, Norma Hodges, Wilma Davis and Onie Boulware; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Boulware at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon, with Bro. Eddie Smith, Dixon and Bro. Carrell Day, Joplin, officiating.
Interment was in the Seaton Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mrs. Boulware were Steve Boulware, Cole Reese, Collin Reese, Ethan Reese, Chase Blankenship, Dakota Kraft and Nathan Kraft.
Memorials are suggested by the family to the Phelps County Hospice with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
