Myrtle Kathryn Imilkowski, of Crocker, was born on November 11, 1924, at Onalaska, Wisconsin, a daughter of Carl and Mabel (Christopherson) Dohve, and departed this life at 4:05 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013, in the Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach. Mrs. Imilkowski had attained the age of 88 years, 2 months, and 18 days.
Mrs. Imilkowski was united in marriage in 1969, at Waynesville to Edwin Casimir Imilkowski. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 27, 1991; her parents; one son, Anthony Carl Imilkowski; one daughter, Marilyn Blatz; one brother, Alan Dohve and three sisters, Betty Dohve, Lucille Pischke, and Claire Daniels.
Mrs. Imilkowski was a member of the Crocker VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer for the Army Community Services, Fort Leonard Wood. She enjoyed her animals, watching westerns and the Price Is Right. She was a housewife and homemaker and was always diligent in providing for the needs of her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Imilkowski include: one son, Dr. George Yeske, of Nevada; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Patricia and Vernal Bartels, state of Wisconsin; Kathleen McMillan, state of California; Angela and Michael Crocker, Willard; Elizabeth and Joe Crawford, Lebanon; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Imilkowski, Crocker; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one expected in the near future; one great-great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Imilkowski at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker, with Bro. Lee Todd, pastor of the Concord Christian Church, Crocker, officiating.
Interment was in the Crocker Public Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mrs. Imilkowski were A.J. Imilkowski, Brady Hume, Michael Crocker, Daniel Crocker, Donnie Smith and Bo Roam. Honorary pallbearers were Rich Heenan and John Lloyd.
