Nancy Odessa Loudermilk, of Dixon, was born on February 11, 1950, at Tuscaloosa, Alabama, a daughter of Kossie and Pearlie Edna (Crowder) Thomas and departed this life at 7:07 a.m., Sunday, April 22, 2018, at her residence. Nancy had attained the age of 68 years, 2 months and 11 days.
Nancy was united in marriage on December 22, 1967, at Vero Beach, Florida to Mr. Joseph Henry Loudermilk and to this union, two children were born. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Blythe on July 21, 2009; her parents, Kossie and Pearlie; one brother, Robert Howton and three sisters, Edna, Faye and Louise.
Nancy had worked as a manager in motel housekeeping as well as being a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She loved her pets and working in her flower garden.
Those left to mourn the passing of Nancy include: her husband of just over 50 years, Joseph Henry Loudermilk, Dixon; one son, Henry Ellis Loudermilk; one foster son, John Ross, both of the state of Florida; one daughter, Eunice Kay Blythe, Dixon; three brothers, John Thomas, state of Virginia, Dewey Thomas, state of Kentucky and Albert Thomas, state of Florida; one sister, Mary Ann Jolly, state of Florida; two grandsons, Leland Ellis Loudermilk and Matthew Allan Blythe; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
