Nannie Faye "Nan" Goforth, of Crocker, was born on December 22, 1932, at Westville, Oklahoma, a daughter of Nickolas Blueford and Martha Elizabeth (Henderson) Morris. She went home on Friday, August 14, 2015, in the Life Care Center of Waynesville surrounded by her daughter, granddaughter, grandson and great-granddaughter. Nan had attained the age of 82 years, 7 months and 23 days.
Nan was united in marriage to Charles Paul Goforth of Richland in 1974, he preceded her in death on October 13, 1991. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; her parents; two brothers, Nick Morris and Bob Morris; three sisters, Francis Shepherd, Mildred Conradi and Nita Bittle; one nephew, Brian Morris and one niece, Lisa Duncan.
Together, Nan and Charles moved to Passover where they ran Goforth's Camp Passover for many years. She enjoyed researching her Cherokee heritage, cooking, traveling, telling a good story and spending time with her family.
Nan leaves behind her daughter, Debra Hull, Crocker; son, Michael Hull of Richland; sister-in-law, Ann Morris, Emporia, Kansas; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Michael and Lorna Spackman, Linn Creek; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Jeff and Amber Porter, Crocker; five great-grandchildren, Marisa Guerrero, Cory Porter, Nathan Porter, Michaelyn Porter, Zachary Cross; nephews; nieces; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held for Nan from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker.
