Nicholas Richard Howe, of Dixon, was born on December 31, 1985, at Rolla, a son of Darrell Richard, Jr. and Paula Kay (Barnhart) Howe and departed this life at 5:25 p.m., Saturday evening, near Dixon, from the results of an automobile accident. Nicholas had attained the age of 31 years, 8 months, and 22 days.

Nicholas had recently accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Dixon and Celebrate Recovery. He had been self-employed doing construction and at the time of his passing was working for the Caring Center in Dixon. He dearly loved his family, especially his many nephews and nieces.

Those left to mourn the passing of Nicholas include: his mother and step father, Paula and Doug Hughes, Dixon; his father and step-mother, Darrell and Tina Howe, Bloomsdale; his grandmother, Velva Jones, Dixon and Thelma Hughes of the state of Arkansas; nine siblings, Jamie Barnhart, Belle; Brandon Veasman, Fulton; Travis Veasman, Dixon; Amy Veasman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Christofer Howe, Camdenton; Sarah Meyer and her husband, Steven, Fort Lewis Washington; Paul Hughes, Springfield; Joseph Howe, state of Kentucky and Jarad Howe, state of Florida; several nephews and nieces; and many other relatives and friends.

Nicholas was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Darrell Howe, Sr. on March 21, 2001; his paternal grandmother, Lila Howe on January 13, 2016 and his Uncle Larry Barnhart on November 16, 2011.

Visitation will be held for Nicholas from 10 - 11 a.m., with the funeral service at 11 a.m., all on Friday, September 29, 2017, in the First Assembly of God church, Dixon.
