Odelia Ruth Wiles, of Dixon, was born on January 17, 1934, at Iberia, a daughter of Willard McDonald and Linnie (Rowden) Dake, and departed this life at 2:28 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2017, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehab Center. Ruth had attained the age of 82 years, 11 months, and 21 days.
Ruth was united in marriage on September 3, 1954, at Dixon, to Allen Leon Wiles and to this union, two children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen on May 24, 2014; her father Willard in 1963; her mother, Linnie in 1995; one brother, Wayde Dake on March 2, 2014 and an infant sister, Priscilla Mae Dake.
Ruth was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She had worked for a printing company in Aurora, Missouri for over 20 years as well as being a loving and devoted homemaker and housewife. Ruth loved music and enjoyed quilting, camping and sewing.
Those left to mourn the passing of Ruth include: her son and daughter-in-law, Mark Allen and Dawn Wiles, Owasso, Oklahoma; her daughter and son-in-law, Janet Lynn and Jim Seladis, Fenton; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Gerald and Jo Dake, St. Robert; Donley and Mona Dake, Dixon and David Dake, Doolittle; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Lola and Harold Sauls, Jefferson City; Naomi Barton, Houston, Texas; Jane and Don Rankin, Cortez, Colorado; Kate and Bob Leonard and Patsy and Bob Rowden, all of Dixon; four grandchildren, Justin, Alison, Kristen and Autumn; five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Noah, Kaden, Collin and Lucas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Ruth at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon, with Rev. Tom Hargrove, Aurora officiating.
Interment was in the Vienna Public Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Ruth were Justin Moody, Andrew Walker, Bob Spurgeon, David Dake, Gerald Dake and Jim Seladis.
