Orville Lee Blackwood, 79, of Crocker, was born on October 3, 1941, at Temple, Texas a son of Joe and Jimmie Lou (Allen) Bigus and departed this life on Thursday, September 16, 2021.

He was united in marriage to Shirley Jean Simpson and to this union, two children were born. Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; one daughter, Lora Lee Blackwood; his parents, Joe and Jimmie, and two sisters, Connie Bigus and Joann Blackwood Riddle.

Lee was a retired United States Army veteran where he had served with the Military Police. He later worked for the Pulaski County Sheriffs Department.

He leaves behind a son, Scotty Blackwood and his wife Virginia of Crocker; a brother, Randy and his wife, Amy of Tennessee; nieces, Linda Wilson and her husband Bryan and their family and Bobbie Hash and her husband Curtis and their family of Lebanon; one nephew and many great nieces and nephews. At ease soldier, you will be missed.

Cremation was elected by the family under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
