Pamela Lynn "Spongie" Boevingloh, of Crocker, was born on June 10, 1957, at Waynesville, a daughter of Ellzey and Ruby (McKinnon) George and departed this life at 12:14 p.m., Sunday, August 21, 2016, at her residence near Crocker. Pamela had attained the age of 59 years, 2 months and 11 days.
Pamela was united in marriage on June 11, 2006, at Waynesville, to Daniel Allen Boevingloh. She was preceded in death by one son, Travis Smith; her father, Ellzey; her mother, Ruby; her first husband, David Smith; one brother, Gregory George and three sisters, Marlene Melton, Genevieve Medley and Shirley West.
Pamela had attended Hilltop Christian Union Church in Crocker and worked for the H.D. Lee Factory, Richland for over 22 years. She received her Licensed Practical Nursing License but never got to fulfill the dream of working as a nurse due to an injury. She loved gardening, working in her yard, fishing, going on float trips, Bingo and being with her grandchildren.
Those left to mourn the passing of Pamela include: her husband, Dan Boevingloh, Crocker; one son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Shiloh Smith, Crocker; one step daughter, Kayla Boevingloh, Jefferson City; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Randy and Debbie George, Newburg and Doug George, Dixon; two sisters, Prentice (Ed Salvino) Holder, Lake of the Ozarks and Berniece Walters, Waynesville; three grandchildren, Cody, A.J. and Kallie and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Pamela at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 25, 2016, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker, with Bro. Bill Claiborn, Pastor of the Hilltop Christian Union Church, Crocker, officiating.
Interment was in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Pamela were Cody Smith, Justin Smith, Ray Tudor, D.R. Stokes, Ed Salvino and Richard Heenan.
