Patricia Ann Claiborn, of Dixon, was born on June 17, 1947, at Waynesville, a daughter of Osie and Helen Ruth (Good) Ichord, and departed this life at 8:25 a.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2016, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon. Mrs. Claiborn had been in failing health for some time and had attained the age of 69 years, 4 months, and 28 days.

Mrs. Claiborn was united in marriage on October 1, 1965, at Richland to Jimmie Dale Claiborn and to this union, two daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 18, 2008; her father, Osie on November 18, 1981; her mother, Helen Ruth on February 25, 1977; one brother, Andy Dewitt Ichord and two sisters, Lola Snow and Joan Ichord.

Mrs. Claiborn was a member of the Hilltop Christian Union Church, Crocker. She retired from Fort Leonard Wood civil service where she had worked as a supply clerk. Following her retirement, Mrs. Claiborn worked as a nurse's aide and medical technician. Mrs. Claiborn enjoyed going to yard sales, shopping, reading, watching cooking programs, taking care of people and being with her granddaughter.


Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Claiborn include: two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandra and John Zimmer, Vienna and Tricia Claiborn, Dixon; five brothers, Harold Ichord, state of Texas; Bill Ichord, Springfield; Frank Ichord, Willard; Bob Ichord, state of Texas and Osie Ichord, state of Kentucky; four sisters, Nola Smith, state of Georgia; Judy Deckard, Dixon; Osa Kays, Richland and Anna Pahula, Waynesville; one granddaughter, Amber Zimmer, Dixon; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker

Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Claiborn at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker with Bro. Bill Claiborn, pastor of the Hilltop Christian Union Church, Crocker, officiating.

Interment will be in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mrs. Claiborn will be Shawn Deckard, Richard Helton, Tommy Kays, Dale Case, Billy Joe Claiborn and Joe Krouse.
