Pearl Catherine Campbell, of Dixon, was born on July 4, 1929, at Dixon, a daughter of Glen and Eunice (Alexander) Baker and departed this life at 8:12 a.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dixon. Mrs. Campbell had attained the age of 83 years, 7 months and 16 days.
Mrs. Campbell was united in marriage on June 22, 1946 to Naith Campbell. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 5, 1987; her parents; three brothers, Russell Baker, Lawrence Baker and Ronnie Baker and two sisters, Eleanor Baker and Rosalie Clark.
Mrs. Campbell enjoyed quilting, embroidering, gardening, cooking red noodles and spending time with her family. She had attended Freedom Church, Dixon. Mrs. Campbell was a devoted housewife and homemaker for all her working life, always diligent in providing for the needs of her family.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Campbell include: one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Susan Campbell, Dixon; one step son and step daughter-in-law, Earl and Wendy Campbell of England; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Charles Fann, Hutchinson, Kansas and Cathy and DeWayne Brown, Dixon; one sister, Ruby Barber; nine grandchildren, Gary Campbell, Andrew Campbell and Stuart Campbell, Tammy Sears, Nathan Campbell, Natalie Brown, Lucas Brown, Shannon Lindberg and Kevin Fann; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Campbell at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Charles Fann and DeWayne Brown officiating and scripture readings were read by Shannon Lindberg. Natalie Brown and Travis Dodson sang "I'll Fly Away", "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art" for the service.
Interment was in the Dixon Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Mrs. Campbell were Lucas Brown, Naith Edgington, Hayden Campbell, Kevin Fann, Nathan Campbell and Nick Reynolds. Honorary pallbearer was Adam Lindberg.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Activities Fund with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home, Dixon.
