Perry J. Womack, age 73, of Crocker, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Perry was born January 12, 1953, in Johnson County, Indiana, a son of Perry and Roberta Womack.

For 27 years, Perry worked for the Pulaski County Public Shelter Workshop. He made his home in Crocker for over 50 years, where he shared his life with his housemates and dedicated staff, who became much more than caregivers and friends — they became his family. Bobbie, who started the group home, played a special role in Perry’s life, helping him learn to read and write.

Perry enjoyed spending his time playing video games and keeping up with current events. He was an avid news enthusiast who loved staying informed about what was happening in the world around him. For the past year, Perry attended church at the Metamorphosis Outreach Empowerment Center.

He will be fondly remembered by those who knew and cared for him throughout the years; along with his brother, Andrew Womack; and two sisters, Mary Long, and Tina Keller and husband Jay. Perry presence will be greatly missed by his housemates and staff, who were truly his extended family.

Perry was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Roberta Womack.

Visitation was held for Perry from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his service at 11:00 a.m., all on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Crocker.

A private burial will follow his service in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
