Philip Joseph Sander, age 85, of Crocker, was born February 11, 1938, a son of William Andrew and Kathleen Mary (Murray) Sander, passed from this life, Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was united in marriage on July 11, 1959, at Brooklyn, New York, to the former Miss Rose Marie Starzee, and to this union three children were born.

Mr. Sander was raised in the Catholic faith and was a self-employed electrician.  He enjoyed fishing and mechanic work.

Those left to celebrate the life of Mr. Sander include: his three children, Darren Sander and his wife, Alaina; Derreck Sander and his wife, Jamie and Dawnmarie Cecora and her husband Thomas, all of Crocker; one sister, Ann VonEwegen, of Florida; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren with two expected soon; and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Sander was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie; brothers, Tommy Sander, Eddie Sander, and Billy Sander; and sister, Marion Mackey.

The family elected cremation and will host a private celebration of life at a later date.
