Phyllis Jean Teel of Dixon was born on August 8, 1950 at Dixon, a daughter of Eugene Franklin and Pearl Louise (Deardeuff) Burns and departed this life at 3:05 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2019 in the Dixon Nursing and Rehab, Dixon. Phyllis had been in failing health for some time and had attained the age of 68 years, 7 months and 27 days.

Phyllis was united in marriage on February 9, 1974 at Bourbon, to Mr. Dwight Teel. She was preceded in death by her father, Gene on May 3, 1999; her mother, Pearl on July 29, 2013 and one brother, Jerald Burns on April 1, 1989.

Phyllis attended Seaton Faith Fellowship Church near Dixon. She had worked for Brown Shoe Company for over 24 years and later for Paramount Hat Factory until they closed. She was an avid softball player having played for the State Bank of Dixon for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bingo, watching game shows, her favorite being the Price Is Right and Wheel of Fortune and reading, especially mysteries.

Those left to mourn the passing of Phyllis include: her husband, Buddy Teel, Dixon; one son, Tommy Rose; two granddaughters, Quincy Rose and Kylee Rose, all of Dixon; one sister, Linda Sherrell, Sullivan; nephews and nieces; special friends, Candy and Tom Lawson and many other relatives and friends.
