Yancie Ray Keeney, age 76, of Waynesville, was born on October 23, 1947, at Edgar Springs, Missouri to George Yancie and Priscilla Fern (Dial) Keeney and passed from this life on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at his residence.

Ray was united in marriage to Sue Nicks who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, George and Priscilla and three sisters, Shirley Greer, Georgia Davis and Ella Campbell.

Ray was baptized at an early age and had accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He had worked as a mechanic for Dow Chemical in Louisiana and later for Cox Brothers in St. Robert and Western Auto in Waynesville. He enjoyed the Cave State Cruisers, working on cars, camping and being on the Lake of the Ozarks, but most of all he enjoyed family time.

Those left to mourn the passing of Ray include: one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Antoinette Keeney of Eagan, Minnesota; his former wife, Terri Keeney, numerous nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held for Ray from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 11 a.m. all on Monday, July 29, 2024 in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel at 416 North Commercial Crocker, Missouri 65452. Pastor Doug Jacobson will officiate.

Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Estates at 202 Historic Route 66 West, Waynesville, Missouri, under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
