Obituary

Reda Fay York, of Dixon, was born on August 11, 1955, at Duke, a daughter of Chris and Ruth Irene (Riden) Manes, and departed this life at 7:20 a.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at her residence. Reda Fay had been in failing health for the past few months and had attained the age of 61 years, 9 months, and 20 days.

Reda Fay was united in marriage on January 10, 1977, at Dixon to Kenneth James York and to this union, two children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James Leo Riden and Christopher Eugene Manes and one sister, Charlotte Alley.

Reda Fay was raised in the Pentecostal church and had accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. She had worked for Country Mart in Dixon for the past 12 years and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Reda Fay loved fishing and country music especially Loretta Lynn.

Those left to mourn the passing of Reda Fay include: her husband, Kenny York, Dixon; one son, Chris York, Walnut Grove; one daughter, Reda Diane York, Dixon; one sister, Evelyn (Donnie) Forester, Doolittle; two grandchildren, Tristin Martin, United States Airforce RAF Mildenhall England and Ryan Juergens, Dixon; her special and devoted cousin and care giver, Dorothy Mace, Duke; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nephews; nieces; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held for Reda Fay at 12:00 noon, Saturday, June 3, 2017, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with the Rev. Patrick Singleton, Calvary Pentecostal Church, Villa Ridge officiating.

Interment was in the West Fairview Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Reda Fay were Aaron York, Denny York, Tristin Martin, Daniel Reeves, William Reeves and J.D. Bunton. Honorary pallbearers were Anthony Giacolone, Eddie York and Donnie Forester.

Memorial contributions are suggested per the wishes of the family with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
