Renia Belle McKinney, of Dixon, was born on January 6, 1938, in Anniston, Alabama, a daughter of Mitchell and Willie (Waites) McMichael and departed this life at 2:58 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2016, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla. Mrs. McKinney had attained the age of 78 years, 9 months, and 28 days.


Mrs. McKinney was united in marriage on July 22, 1959, in Anniston, Alabama to Arthur Earl McKinney and to this union five children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur McKinney, on March 1, 1986; one son, Robert Regis McKinney on August 24, 1986; her parents, Mitchell and Willie; one granddaughter, Megan Kilpatrick on November 30, 2015; and three brothers, James McMichael, Seburn McMichael and John McMichael.

Mrs. McKinney was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. McKinney include: two sons, Mitchell McKinney and Stephen McKinney; two daughters, Patricia Boore and Rachel Kilpatrick, all of Dixon; one sister, Sue Milstead, Anniston, Alabama; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held for Mrs. McKinney at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 10, 2016, in the Seaton Cemetery near Dixon with Pastor Jim Burton, Sheppard Baptist Church, Dixon officiating.

Honorary pallbearers for Mrs. McKinney will be Dustin Werdehausen, Brandon McKinney, Zach McKinney and Joshua McKinney.
