Reta (Rita) Lavonne Sinclair, age 89, of Waynesville, was born on May 17, 1937, at Waynesville, a daughter of Claude Andrew and Rose (Goodrich) Hendrix and passed from this life on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Sinclair was united in marriage on October 4, 1956 at Buckhorn to SFC (Ret) Clarence Duncan Sinclair and to this union, two children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on November 19, 2015; her parents, four brothers, Leroy Hendrix, Dallas Hendrix, Buck Hendrix and Dee Hendrix; one sister, Beverly Bays; and three great-grandchildren, Elisabeth Lavonne Bonebrake and twins, Seth and Andrew Davis.

Mrs. Sinclair was baptized early in life and was a member of the Buckhorn Baptist Church. She had worked for Southwestern Bell and H.D. Lee for some time and was a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker. She was on the board of the Buckhorn Cemetery and in her spare time she enjoyed hunting, especially bears, fishing, quilting and sewing, but above all she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Sinclair include: her children,  Michael Sinclair, Waynesville and Tammy Davis, Crocker; her grandchildren, Tony Neel, Nicole Watson, David Davis, Levi Davis and Michael Sinclair, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Allison Bonebrake, Bella Davis, Rylee Neel, Michael Sinclair, III and McKinley (Baby Steve) Sinclair and many other relatives and friends.

Following the wishes of Mrs. Sinclair, the family elected cremation under the direction of Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. A private celebration of life and burial in the Buckhorn Cemetery will be held at a later date.
