Reygena "Rey" Letta Peterson, of Crocker, was born on October 7, 1960, at Mineral Wells, Texas, a daughter of Franklin and Minnie (Perez) Robinson, and departed this life at 9:31 a.m., Sunday morning, July 2, 2017 at her residence near Crocker surrounded by her family. Rey had attained the age of 56 years, 8 months, and 5 days.

Rey was united in marriage on January 2, 1981, at Swedeborg to Charles Len Peterson, Sr. and to this union, two children were born. She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin on December 16, 2015; her step-father, Larry Curtman on August 20, 2015; and one niece, Brooke Robinson on May 29, 2017.

Rey was a member of the Crocker Christian Church, she was baptized at the age of 12 years and then re-dedicated her life to Christ and was re-baptized on June 5, 2011. Rey had worked for the Ad Tracker as the office manager for 25 years and later for 4 years as an EDP Clerk at Fort Leonard Wood as well as being a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed embroidery, sewing, quilting, and horseback riding but above all she cherished her time with her grandchildren and family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Rey include: her husband, Charlie Peterson, Crocker; her mother, Minnie Robinson, Crocker; one son and daughter-in-law, C.J. and Kalinda Peterson, Iberia; one daughter and son-in-law, LaTina and Chris Jefferies, Richland; special family member, Tyler Barnes and his son, Ryder; her grandchildren, Levi and Abby Jefferies and Kaylea and Jayden Peterson; seven brothers, Delbert (Judy) Robinson, Willie (Kelly) Robinson, Edward Robinson, Kevin (Sherri) Curtman, Erick (Sofia) Robinson, Joey (Deidra) Curtman and Jay (Mackenzie) Robinson; two sisters, Eunice "B.J." (James) Clark and Reba (Billy) Null; her special friend, Peggy Layman; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held for Rey at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017, in the Crocker Christian Church with Larry Richardson officiating.

Interment was in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Swedeborg under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Rey were Danny Roam, Tyler Barnes, Doug Sloan, Eric Schwandt, Trent York and James Adams. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Wells, Kris York, Lee Kinsman and Bobby Layman.
