Richard Mark Burns, of Lebanon, formerly of Dixon, was born on May 26, 1965, at Waynesville, a son of William Richard, Jr. and Shirley M. (Young) Burns and departed this life at 5:04 p.m., Sunday, December 27, 2015, in the Mercy Hospital Lebanon. Mark had been in failing health for some time and had attained the age of 50 years, 7 months and 1 day.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley on January 29, 1983.

Mark had worked for the railroad and as a truck driver for several years before becoming a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed swimming, fishing, hunting and digging roots as well as being with his family.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mark include: his father, William Richard Burns, Jr., Lebanon; two brothers, John Ray Holzer, Dixon and David Holzer, Crocker; several uncles, aunts, nephews, cousins; and other relatives and friends.

A visitation was held for mark from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon. A private family graveside and inurnment service will be held at a later date in the Seaton Cemetery near Dixon.
