Robert Eugene Goad, of Crocker, was born on July 31, 1950, at Fort Benning, Georgia, a son of William Oscar and Marie Ethel (Marrow) Goad and departed this life at 1:00 a.m., Thursday, May 23, 2019 in the Dixon Nursing and Rehabilitation, Dixon. Mr. Goad had attained the age of 68 years, 9 months and 22 days.

Mr. Goad was united in marriage on December 22, 1978 in the Concord Christian Church near Crocker to Miss Kathy Mae Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie.

Mr. Goad was baptized early in life and was a member the Concord Christian Church near Crocker. He was a United States Navy veteran having served his country faithfully for ten years. Following his military career, Mr. Goad worked at Fort Leonard Wood Hospital as a boiler plant operator retiring after 20 years of service. He was a leather crafter and enjoyed fishing and reading.

Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Goad include: his wife, Kathy Goad, Crocker; one brother, Charles Goad and his special friend, Kim Picker, Richland; his mother-in-law, Eula Lawrence, Crocker; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 26, 2019 in the Concord Christian Church with Bro. Lee A. Todd officiating.

Interment with full military honors will be in the Concord Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mr. Goad are Denny Hobaugh, Danny Lawrence, Russ Plemmons, Roger Plemmons, David Miller and Clifford Tucker. Tommy Goad served as honorary pallbearer.
