Rose Anne Carter, age 67, of Dixon, was born on May 27, 1956, at Superior, Wisconsin a daughter of John Joseph and Marjorie Naomi (Davis) Eastman and departed this life at 8:38 a.m., Thursday morning, September 28, 2023 near Dixon.

Rose was baptized later in life and had been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, St. Robert. She had worked as the Head Count for EDP, Fort Leonard Wood, which is now Blackstone, for over 15 years. Rose enjoyed movies, coloring, crafts, playing games with her family and her dog coco.

Those left to mourn the passing of Rose include: her daughter, Heather Hembree, Lebanon; her grandsons, Lydon Saunders and Danen Conrad; her step mother, Sharon Eastman; her siblings and their spouses, John and Liz Eastman, Foxboro, Wisconsin; Bradley and Allyson Eastman, of Minnesota; Dawn Stanford, Sulphur, Oklahoma; Kim and Dan Dyson, Osage, Wyoming; Linda and Arthur Balch, Lake Ozark and Shari Myrick of Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marjorie; one sister, Bonnie Lenardos; a step brother, Joe Eyman and a brother-in-law, Michael Stanford.

Visitation will be held for Rose from 11 a.m. until her service time at 12 noon on Saturday, October 7, 2023 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon.

Interment will be in the Fox Crossing Cemetery at a later date and time.
