Ruby Marie “Mae” Richmond Rollins, of Rolla (formerly of Dixon), was born on January 19, 1941, at Louis and Alma Long’s home (her grandparents) on Stump Street (now Hawkins St.) in Crocker, MO. Ruby departed this life at 2:19 a.m., Friday, July 31, 2026 at Phelps Health Medical Center in Rolla, MO. Ruby was a daughter of Eugene (Gene) and Jerretta Richmond of Hancock, who both preceded her in death in 1994 and 1988. Ruby was also preceded in death by her sister, Sheryl Wilcox, in 2021, her brother, Ronald Wayne Richmond, in 2016, a great-granddaughter, Katelyn Ferguson, a brother-in-law, Jon Wilcox, and a son-in-law, Tom Goosey.

     Ruby had 5 children with her former spouse of 20 years, Bill Rollins: Angela (Angie) Alexander (spouse Randy) of Rolla, Deborah (Debbie) Goosey of Ozark, William (Bill) Rollins (wife Annie) of Edgar Springs, James (Jim) Rollins of Dixon, and Sherri Rollins of Rolla. Ruby was the proud grandma of 12: Amber and Drew Alexander (wife Ashley), Megan Goosey, Amber Eidsen (spouse Corbett), Billy and Aaron Rollins (wife Kristin), Nick Rollins (wife Ari-Ann), Corey Rollins (wife Miwako), Riley Rollins (wife Julie), Justin Durham (wife Pearl), Jordan Durham (wife Samantha), Jerica Otto (spouse Dustin); 3 step-grandchildren: Jessa Rodriguez, Tyler and Thayne Warren; 22 great-grands: Vivian, Charlotte, Katelyn, Mckenzie, Arabella, Ansley, Carter, Kade, Skylar, Zimri, Escher, Iver, Maya, Joseph, Joshua, Evelyn, Isaac, Judah, Treven, Rylee, Nolan, Nevaeh; 7 step-great grands: Sophia, Bentley, Koda, Micaiah, Kapri, Xzander, Kharyzma; 2 great-great grands: Lyndsey, Dayton; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends (all she was thankful to have in her life).

     Ruby trusted the Lord Jesus at an early age. She served as church song leader on occasion in her teens and enjoyed Bible study classes and fellowship. She had a strong conviction of treating people well, insisting her children “do to others as you want done to you,” and she lived that way in her work as a Stanley Home Products dealer, U.S. Postal Service worker, and other jobs. She also lived resilience through challenges and had a strong “get back up when knocked down” attitude, and she leaned on the Lord to do that. She retired in 1995.

     Ruby adored her family, her life’s greatest treasure. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with them, listening to stories and laughing, or next best was looking at their pictures when not with them. She enjoyed bluegrass music, travel to the Rocky Mountains, crossword puzzles and games led by Cody and Connie at the Manor, and older TV shows like “The Golden Girls, The Waltons, and Little House on the Prairie”.

     Memorial service for Ruby will be at the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home, 416 N. Commercial, Crocker, MO on Friday, August 7, 2026; visitation 1 pm, service 2 pm. Burial will be next to her parents and grandparents at the Crocker Cemetery.

     Memorials are suggested to the Rolla Presbyterian Manor in thankfulness to her aides, nurses, dining staff, and all involved in her care since April 2024.
