Sandra Walker Crawford, 84, of Crocker, was born on March 13, 1942, a daughter of William Robert and Beulah Faye (Anderson) Walker and passed from this life on August 13, 2026 following a lengthy health battle, in the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Sandy grew up in Jefferson City, graduating from Jefferson City High School, and went on to receive her teaching degree from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg.

Sandy spent her entire career teaching kindergarten and first grade at the Crocker Elementary School, Crocker, for over 30 years. Her passion was working with younger children, whether it was helping them to color within the lines or walking in order.

Sandy was baptized early in life and was a faithful member of the Hilltop Christian Union Church, Crocker and a member of the Missouri State Retried Teacher’s Association. Sandy enjoyed collecting frog memorabilia, and giving gifts to her “people”. She had a love for bright colors, bling and costume jewelry and going to family events, reunions, Christmas and Thanksgiving celebrations. She enjoyed a week-long escape spending time with her sister, Roberta, where they always embraced life and loved ones to the fullest.

Sandy was married to Gary Crawford on May 18, 2002, at Crocker.

Those left to mourn the passing of Sandy includes: her husband, Gary Crawford; her step-children, Joe, Ben, John and Craig Crawford and Lisa Lewis; one sister, Roberta Gardine; one brother, Roger (Kim) Walker; two nieces, Shelly Selbach (Doug) and Megan Turcois (Carlos); two nephews, Adam Walker (Wendy), Josh Walker (Brittney); numerous nieces and grandchildren; her church family and many other relatives and friends.

Sandy was preceded in death by, her parents, Bob and Beulah Walker and one brother, Robert Daniel Walker.

Visitation will be held for Sandy from 10 a.m. until the time of her service at 11 a.m., all on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, 416 N. Commercial Street, Crocker, MO 65452.
