Shirley Lee Moore, of Crocker, was born on January 18, 1936, at Crocker, a daughter of Orville and Ruby (Walters) Campbell, and departed this life at 5:30 P.M., Sunday, March 22, 2015, in the Life Care Center of Waynesville. Shirley had attained the age of 79 years, 2 months, and 4 days.
Shirley was united in marriage on April 23, 1955, at Crocker, to Chester Dean Moore and to this union, three children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Ruby.
Shirley was a member of Christ's Mission Christian Church, St. Robert and a life time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Crocker VFW. Shirley had been a cook for the Crocker Schools retiring after twenty years of service as well as being a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, singing and playing the piano.
Those left to mourn the passing of Shirley include: her husband of nearly sixty years, Chester Moore, Crocker; two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Charlotte Moore and Mark and Sandy Moore, all of Crocker; one daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Bob Leinbaugh, Crocker; five grandchildren, Melissa Moore, Jeromy Moore, Nathan Moore, Bethany Leinbaugh and Jason Leinbaugh and his wife, Marah; six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held for Shirley at 6:00 P.M., Friday, March 27, 2015, in the Crocker Christian Church with Bro. Bob Leinbaugh and Jeff Brown, Christ's Mission Church, St. Robert, officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Gasconade Christian Service Camp with envelopes available at the church or the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
