Shirley Anne York, 87, of Crocker, was born on November 3, 1935, at Crocker and departed this life on Sunday, November 13, 2022 in the StoneBridge Senior Living, Osage Beach.

Shirley was united in marriage on September 3, 1955, at Buffalo, to Mr. Donald Lee York, Sr. and to this union, three children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, her mother, Blanche Kastner, one grandson, Timothy York, one great-granddaughter, Maris York and one sister, Lynn Dawson.

Shirley was a member of the Crocker Christian Church. She had worked for the Bank of Crocker for 32 years retiring in 1997. Shirley enjoyed spending time with family  and spoiling her grandchildren. She also enjoyed mowing her yard, reading and working crossword puzzles.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her children, Donnie and Brenda York, Crocker; Todd and Melanie York, Lees Summit and Terrie Roam, Lake Ozark; one brother, Sonny (Carol) Gunter; three sisters, Sheri Blackman, Robin Case and Vicki Dixon, all of Council Bluffs, Iowa; five grandchildren, Michael (Amanda) York, Nathan York, Aaron (Molly) York, Cole Roam and Darby Roam; four great-grandchildren, Braelyn York, Henry York, Henry Grisham and Jovie Mae York; brother-in-law, Wayne Dawson and many other relatives and friends.

Following Shirley's wishes, the family will hold a private graveside service in the Crocker Cemetery at a later date.
