Jeffrey Alan Burge, age 65, of Crocker, Missouri, passed from this life on Friday, May 31, 2024, at his home. He was born July 1, 1958, at Chicago Heights, Illinois, a son of William and Lucille (Simpson) Burge.
He was united in marriage on April 22, 1988, at Robinson, Illinois to Miss Teresa Inboden and to this union, two children were born.
Mr. Burge was a member of the First Baptist Church, Crocker. He retired from the United States Army after 22 years of faithful service to his country, SSG (Ret) Burge always felt his greatest honor in his military career was to be a part of the honor details by playing Taps for our fallen troops, both active and retired. He was proud to have served his country and loved God and the United States of America. Mr. Burge loved his family, fishing and enjoyed helping people with their computers, cars, or anything that was needed.
Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Teresa, his sons and daughter-in-law, Alex and Lauren Burge and Adam Burge; granddaughter, Alease and grandson, Matthew; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Cindy Burge; nephews, Chris, Mike, Scott, Keegan, and Brendan; great-nephews, Josh, Austin, Quin, and Cameron, as well as cousins and friends who were very special to him.
Mr. Burge was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucille Burge and his sister, Judy Palanca.
Funeral services and interment with military honors will be held for SSG (Ret) Jeffrey Alan Burge at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 25350 Highway H, Waynesville, MO under the direction of the Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home, Crocker.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Crocker Senior Center with envelopes available at the funeral home or in care of Martin-Kloeppel Funeral Home, P.O. Box 700, Crocker, MO 65452.
