Mrs. Susie May Plemmons (nee: Wilhite), of Wright City, MO passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023. She was born on March 2, 1947, in Columbia, MO to the late Samson and Catherine Wilhite (nee: Page). She had reached the age of 76 years.

Susie was united in marriage to David Plemmons on May 25, 1964, in Harrison, Arkansas. To this union, one son was born Bill. She was an excellent wife and mother. She spent many years in the work force in various careers which included, the Super-X Drug Store in Columbia, MO, the Spirit of St. Louis Airport for 5 years, the Post Office in St. Charles in 3 years, and spent 7 years in Denver, CO. She moved back to Wright City, MO in 2001 where they made their home and she worked for Verizon for 9 years. Susie loved to work in the yard and had her own ZTR mower and would do all the weed trimming. Susie loved learning how to do things that most women would not even try including wiring a lamp or installing a new water faucet. She was also a subdivision trustee for several years and enjoyed attending her school reunions where she was the class President and catching up with her good classmate, Sue, and many others. She loved going to garage sales with her longtime best friend Nancy, and the time she spent raising and playing with her English bulldogs. Susie was very good at sewing and making Raggedy Ann Dolls. Susie was truly a good person and always ready to help others, she is loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Those that are grateful for having shared in Susie's life are her beloved husband, David Plemmons; her loving son, William David (Bonnie) Plemmons, her dear grandson, Brandon (Haley) Plemmons; and her cherished best friends of 40+ years, Nancy Mallory, and Sue Roam; many other relatives and friends. Susie is preceded in death by her parents, Samson, and Catherine Wilhite; her sisters, Sandra Tappe and Patricia Kaylor. She was a dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

A visitation for Susie will be held from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on Friday, September 1, 2023, with a 12:00 pm Celebration of Life service to immediately follow at Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383.

A second visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home, 416 N. Commercial St., Crocker, MO 65452 immediately followed by a graveside committal in the Crocker Cemetery in Crocker, MO. Memorial donations are appreciated to the Humane Society.
