Thelma Louise Withers, 80, of Dixon, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 6:38 p.m., surrounded by her family, in Boone Hospital, Columbia.

Thelma was born on July 3, 1937, at Stickney, Mo, a daughter of Raymond Levi and Beda Helen (Ragan) Nelson.

She was united in marriage on February 5, 1955, at Dixon, to Tommy Dean Withers and to this union, one daughter was born. She was preceded in death by her father on July 5, 1973; her mother on December 13, 1993 and one brother-in-law, Bob Bullock.

Thelma was a member of the Santee Community Church, Dixon and the Dixon Saddle Club. She had worked for Brown Shoe Company, Dixon retiring in 1993. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and checking on her "babies" (Great-Grand Children). She grew the biggest, best tomatoes and cucumbers and was well known for baking wonderful coconut cream pies.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Tommy Dean Withers, Dixon; her daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Steve Adams, Jefferson City; two granddaughters, Stephanie (Jason) Estel, Louisville, Kentucky and Stacie (Andy) Wolf, Galesburg, Illinois; five great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Madeline and Eleanor Estel and Carter and Hudson Wolf; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Phyllis Nelson, Dixon; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Berniece Bullock, Vienna and Barb and Troy Porter, Dixon; sister-in-law, Dot Withers, Dixon; nephews; nieces and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
