Lou" Tingle

Virginia Lucille "Ginny Lou" Tingle, of Crocker, was born on August 27, 1934, at Crocker a daughter of Charles Louis and Berchie Mae (Shelton) Whittle and departed this life at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in the Mercy Hospital, Lebanon. Mrs. Tingle had attained the age of 85 years, 6 months and 5 days.
Mrs. Tingle was united in marriage on April 17, 1954 at Crocker to Richard F. Tingle and to this union, one son was born. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles on October 3, 1958; her mother, Berchie on October 11, 1985; her step father, Claude Rowland on May 2, 2007 and an infant brother, Carl Whittle at age one month in September 1940.
Mrs. Tingle was baptized early in life and was a faithful member of the Crocker Christian Church. She had been a cook for the Crocker Schools for many years. When she retired from her position as cook, she then drove a school bus for Crocker Schools for some time as well as being a loving and devoted housewife and homemaker. Mrs. Tingle enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening, sitting in her gazebo, but most of all she loved the time she spent with her grandchild and great-grandchildren.
Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Tingle include: her husband, Richard Tingle of the home near Crocker; her son and daughter-in-law, Charley and Pam Tingle, Crocker; one sister, Charlet Wimberly, Osage Beach; one grandson and his wife, Craig and Wendy McMurtrey, Crocker; two great-grandchildren, Caleb McMurtrey and Callie McMurtrey; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held for Mrs. Tingle from 1:00 untio 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon, March 8, 2020 in the Crocker Christian Church with Larry Richardson officiating.
Interment will be in the Crocker Cemetery under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker. Pallbearers for Mrs. Tingle are Craig McMurtrey, Caleb McMurtrey, Emmett Brumley, Bill Voiles, Roy Peterson and Rick Burnett. Honorary pallbearers are Bernard Houlehan and Dennis Ringer.
Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Crocker Christian Church with envelopes available at the church or the office of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Crocker.
