Virginia Sue "Jenny" Robertson, age 77, of Vienna, was born on October 24, 1945, at St. Louis, a daughter of Wilbur Douglas and Minnie Isabelle (Cox) Huffman and departed this life at 11:43 a.m., on Monday, July 3, 2023 in the Phelps Health, Rolla.
She was married on September 5, 1964, at Dixon, to Mr. Clifford Edward Robertson and to this union, three children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 8, 2020; her father on October 18, 1969; her mother on March 15, 2001; an infant brother, Franklin Huffman on January 30, 1958; and four sisters, Velma Bays on June 29, 2002; Emma Huffman on January 14, 2007; Frances Myrick, (twin to Franklin) on November 29, 2013 and an infant, Mary Huffman on December 7, 1956.
Virginia was baptized in the Gasconade River in 2002 and was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church near Vienna. She had worked for Brown Shoe Company, Dixon and served as Union President, until it closed in 1992 and then retired from Unilever, Jefferson City. She enjoyed coaching the winning team of softball in Dixon; tending to her rose bushes and garden, watching Gunsmoke but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her passion.
Those left to mourn the passing of Virginia include: her children, Tina (Robert) Leavell, Vienna; Sherry Aaron (Gary Martin), Waynesville and Clifford, Jr. (Mary) Robertson, Washington; eight grandchildren, Cole (Savanna) Robertson; Cory (Mindy) Alexander; Jessica (Kevin) Moore; Jennifer Aaron, Kaylee (Samuel) McKinney; Johnny Aaron; Jakob Robertson (Madison Mayall) and Caden Robertson; nine great-grandchildren, Cory, Jr., Addison, Brooklyn, Cole, Jr., Braxton, Luna (Lou Lou), Amelia, Abby and Graham; her siblings, Robert (Shirley) Huffman, Vienna and Shirley (Paul) Robertson, Cuba and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of her service at 11 a.m., all on Friday, July 7, 2023 in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel, Dixon with Bro. Rich Helton, Vision Christian Church, Foristell, MO officiating.
Interment will be in the Kenner Cemetery, in Maries County, near Dixon under the direction of the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon. Pallbearers for Virginia are Cole Robertson, Johnny Aaron, Jakob Robertson, Caden Robertson, Samuel McKinney, Kevin Moore, Jimmy Parker and John Aaron. Honorary pallbearers are Jessica Moore, Jennifer Aaron, Savanna Robertson, Cory Alexander, Kaylee McKinney, Madison Mayall, Lillian Distler, and Beth Humphrey.
Memorials are suggested per the wishes of the family in memory of Virginia Sue Robertson with envelopes available at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Dixon.
