Born September 4, 1934, at Catawissa, Missouri, a son of Voll and Lilly (Whitworth) Pursley

Married February 1, 1975, at Waynesville to Freida May Kelly

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Crocker

Survivors: his wife, Freida Pursley, Crocker;
1 daughter, Sandy (Ron) DeClue, Bourbon;
4 sons: Bud (Cherry) Pursley, Crocker; John (Darlene) Pursley, Lonedell; David (Vickie) Pursley, Lake Sherwood and Ronnie (Mary) Pursley, Stanton;
3 step-daughters, Cherry Pursley and Jeana George, both of Crocker and Sharon Brunston, Palestine, Texas;
1 sister, Verniece Smith, Marion, Illinois;
20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m., until 12 Noon, with the funeral service at 12 Noon, all on Saturday, August 8, 2015, in the Assembly of God Church, Crocker.

Interment will be in the Assembly of God Cemetery, Crocker
