William E. "Bill" Fancher, of Crocker, was born on February 12, 1952, in Pulaski County, a son of William E. and Dollie (Champion) Fancher and departed this life on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at his residence. Bill had attained the age of 66 years, 4 months and 4 days.
Bill was preceded in death by his father on January 19, 1995; his mother on December 14, 2006 and his brother, Edward Eugene Fancher on December 19, 1986.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Air Force honorably retiring as TSGT/E6 Fancher. During his military career he was awarded and entitled to wear the Air Force Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster; the AF Outstanding Unit Award with one Oak Leaf Cluster; the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters; the National Defense Service Medal; Air Force Overseas short Term Ribbon and Long Tour Ribbon with one Oak Leaf Cluster; Longevity Service Award Ribbon with two Oak Leaf Clusters; the NCO Professional Military EDOC Grad Ribbon and the Air Force Training Ribbon. Following his military career he had worked for and retired from the Missouri Department of Corrections, Jefferson City. He enjoyed wood working, his car, music and making people laugh.
Those left to mourn the passing of Bill include: his sisters and brother-in-law, Linda and Mike Knudson, Lebanon and Glenda Helton, Crocker; two nephews, Michael Helton and Michael Knudson and many other relatives and friends.
