William Andrew Frederickson, II, 75, of Waynesville, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at his home. He was born on April 4, 1944 in Brownstown, Indiana, the eldest son of Donald M. and Myrtle M. (Ballard) Frederickson. He was named after his paternal grandfather, William Andrew Frederickson. His parents and paternal and maternal grandparents preceded him in death.
He attended Brownstown schools and graduated in May of 1962 from Brownstown High School. Prior to graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and completed basic training in San Diego, Ca. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving three tours in Vietnam. He retired in May of 1982, as an E-7 (Gunnery Sergeant) after serving 20 years.
Mr. Frederickson moved to Denver in June of 1983 and worked for the Broomfield Department of Public Saffety. From January 1986 until June of 1996, he was Master Instructor for Electronics at ITT Technical Institute in Aurora, Colorado. In June of 1996, he moved to Missouri and was employed at the University of Missouri as a Senior Electronics Technician.
Mr. Frederickson enjoyed fishing and tinkering on motors. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4956, Crocker.
Mr. Frederickson is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Marcus and Mary Russell, Olean; David and McKinzie Russell; Shane and Holly Russell and Daniel and Cassie Frederickson, all of Colorado and William and Amber Frederickson, Waynesville; one brother, Donald Frederickson, Brownstown, Indiana; two sisters, Michaelee (Allen) Nolen of Anderson, Indiana and Janet Stevenson of Deer Park, Texas; twelve grandchildren, Meagan, Casey, Charity, Cameron, Hailey, Kellen, Preston, Collin, Cash, Brooke, Harper and Drew; two aunts, Jeanne Murphy of Waymansville, Indiana and Evelyn Jane Ballard of Brownstown, Indiana; a host of nephews; nieces; cousins and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by two infant brothers and brother, John Frederickson on January 29, 2019 and a sister, Donna Gayle in 1982.
